Provided you’re playing with four people, certain ranks match with players in the counterclockwise order, such that you don’t need to count it out.
Going counterclockwise and starting with ace as 1, count players until you reach the rank of the card at the bottom of the cut pile. Look at the bottom card of the cut pile for its rank, from ace to king (then replace the pile on top of the deck). In big two this is determined by the cut pile just made. Before dealing out cards, you’ll need to decide to whom to deal to first.
